Overview
Welcome to the magnificent and unique Sian Ka’an Reserve, in Mayan: “gate of heaven”, more exactly, the “place where heaven begins”!
The Sian Ka’an Reserve is a protected natural area located on the Caribbean coast of the state of Quintana Roo, and is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We propose to spend a morning by boat, in the surroundings of the mangroves and the savannah, to navigate through the natural channels or those adapted by the Mayans. We will also have the opportunity to swim and let ourselves be carried away by the gentle current of the canals, observing the local flora and fauna with the greatest tranquility.
Afterwards, we will have an excellent lunch in front of one of the lagoons, before walking through the rainforest to visit the Muyil archaeological site. We will be able to observe the extension of the reserve from a high point.
